Whistleblowing

FBK PLATFORM FOR ANONYMOUS DISCLOSURES

Whistleblowing is a tool that allows the safe and confidential reporting of alleged illegal or fraudulent activities, situations of danger or risk that could cause various types of damage.

In addition to these kinds of disclosures, Fondazione Bruno Kessler suggests the whistleblowing platform for the reporting of facts, behaviors or situations that do not comply with the principles of non-discrimination and inclusion.

Disclosures can be made through the IT platform activated as part of the WhistleblowingPA project (promoted by Transparency International Italia and by the Hermes Center for Transparency and Digital Human Rights) which uses the HTTPS encryption protocol for the confidential transfer of data, which allows anonymous disclosures (provided they are well detailed) or confidential disclosures (where informants provide their names), with the obligation for those who receive them to assure discretion and confidentiality as well as the anonymity of the disclosure's author.

Who can file a disclosure claim?

  • All FBK staff, of any job classification level and position (including PAT staff seconded to FBK), students, interns, undergraduates, PhD students, guests and affiliated staff.

  • Employees and collaborators of entities subject to FBK control and companies supplying goods or services or companies that carry out works for FBK.

How can I file an anonymous disclosure claim?

By clicking on the "SUBMIT A DISCLOSURE" button, located at the bottom of this page. (Do not use the Internet Explorer browser!)

At the end of the disclosure, a code will be displayed that only the individual making the disclosure will be able to see. Thanks to this code, the informant will be able to periodically access the platform, read the responses, exchange information with FBK and attach additional documents. The code must be saved and kept in a safe place.

Are you aware of alleged wrongdoing or misconduct in your work environment?

Have you experienced or witnessed situations that do not comply with the principles of inclusion and non-discrimination?

OPERATIONAL CHANNEL

COMING SOON

With Law No. 190 of November 6, 2012 lawmakers established that public bodies and private law bodies under public control must have a comprehensive system functional to corruption prevention (the Three-year Corruption and Transparency Prevention Plan).

In such a context, everyone's cooperation is essential.

The law protects those who report illegal conduct of which they become aware due to their employment or collaboration relationship, preventing them from being sanctioned, fired or subjected to any type of discrimination due to their claim (so-called whistleblower).

All disclosures will be examined by the FBK Head of Corruption Prevention and Transparency only.

More information on the various methods for reporting alleged misconduct are available on the Transparent Administration website.

NEW CHANNEL FOR REPORTING SITUATIONS NOT COMPLIANT WITH THE PRINCIPLES OF INCLUSION AND NON-DISCRIMINATION

With a view to organizational well-being, the Foundation constantly monitors internal climate also in relation to -formal and informal - perceived constraints.

On this front, a new channel is being developed for reporting situations that deviate from the declared principles of equality of opportunity and non-discrimination for workers, as well as inclusion and respect for diversity.

The disclosure will be dealt with by the Board Member of Trust (to be defined).

Informants may also make a disclosure via the TOR network, which guarantees, in addition to the protection of the content transmitted, communication anonymity, making it impossible for the recipient and for all intermediaries in the transmission to keep track of the internet address of the reporting party (for further information https://www.torproject.org/).

To submit a disclosure using the TOR network, the address is http://fbk.7dfpsad6ip2ovt3rwihfm4pkebvkkfqfz2frtdu6cf34msdd54lbu7id.onion/

Notice for personnel using PCs centrally managed by FBK!

Since the TOR browser should be installed by the FBK IT Support Unit, in order to ensure total confidentiality we recommend that you use a privately owned device on which to download the application directly from the official page: https://www.torproject.org/download/languages/
